I am so excited that Summer is almost here! I’m joining in with the Summer Bucket List linky party hosted by A Cupcake for the Teacher, Miss Kindergarten, and A Modern Teacher.
The most important item on my Summer Bucket List is to spend time getting to know our little girl. I am almost 9 months pregnant and have a c-section scheduled for June 3rd! We are so excited about welcoming our baby girl into our family… most of my time this summer will be spent navigating the waters of new motherhood! My husband and I have a lot to learn, and thankfully we have all summer to figure it out!

As soon as I can, I want to begin running again. I continued running up until week 26 of my pregnancy and then my feet began to swell. For the past 3 months I’ve only been able to fit into one pair of flip flops! I’m so excited to fit into my running shoes again and begin training. I want to work towards a half-marathon since I was unable to run the Savannah Rock-n-Roll half last November. I decided not to run since I had just found out I was pregnant and had yet to see my doctor. I LOVE our jogging stroller (Bumbleride Indie) and can’t wait to spend many early mornings out on a run with Sarah!
We have a trip planned to Orange Beach this summer! We will be there for my 30th birthday and it will be Sarah’s first road trip! I am so excited about this time to get away from Atlanta and relax with our family!
I have a TON of new products to add to Polka Dot Parlor! I also want to spend time planning out blog posts for the new school year, as well as create new materials for my TpT store. I will not be teaching next year, as my husband and I have decided that I will stay home with Sarah. I am so excited and grateful for this opportunity to spend time with her while she is so young. I will miss teaching, however I still plan to stay active with blogging and creating activities and resource packets.
